Corrections
We correct factual errors as soon as we are aware of them.
How to report an error
Email hello@mysentimentsstudio.com with the URL of the post, the specific claim you believe is incorrect, and (if possible) a link to a reliable source. We aim to reply within a few days.
What we correct
We update posts when:
- a factual claim is incorrect (dates, names, attributions, film credits, quotes);
- a link is broken and a working replacement is available;
- an external source we relied on has been updated or retracted;
- the writing is unclear in a way that misleads the reader.
We do not retroactively rewrite posts to change the author's point of view or to remove subjective language.
How corrections are recorded
When a post is updated after publication, the post's Last updated date is changed and, where the change is material, a note is appended at the foot of the piece explaining what was changed and why.
Removed posts
On the rare occasions we remove a post entirely, the URL returns a 410 Gone response with a notice and a link back to the section index. Search engines de-index 410 responses faster than 404s, and we treat removed posts the same way.
